Yamakase@Sawtelle ★★★

Exquisite Kaiseki Ryori Experience. Lots of Uni and Truffle. Yama-san is very friendly and easy-going, making the dining experience fun and cozy. Everyone in the restaurant pretty much became friends at the end of the dinner. Dinner took 3.5 - 4 hours. One seating per night at 7pm. By invitation only, but you can request invitation on their website. $425 per person with tax and tips included. $0 corkage fee! Just share the booze with Yama-san!

Koh Ruessei Restaurant@Long Beach ★★★

Authentic Flavorful Khmer (Cambodian) Cuisine. Better and more decent than the one I used to go. Having been to Cambodia 5 times, I always crave for their food. My favorite is Prahok - raw vegetables served in warm dipping sauce. This restaurant did very well. the Phnom Penh Noodle Soup had a garlicky flavor, just like the one I had at the street food in Phnom Penh. The restaurant highly recommended the Hot & Sour Beef Soup. I am used to the flavor, but it's not for everyone. A little of the soup goes a long way. Better to have a small bowl of rice and only 1-2 tablespoons of the soup. They automatically give you a big bowl of rice and will charge $3 for it. Will come back again.

Prahok Fish $14.95

Phnom Penh Noodle Soup $9.95

Hot & Sour Beef Soup $15.95
