鬼滅の刃コラボ Kimetsu no Yaiba@秋葉原牛角 Gyu-kaku Akihabara ★★★

Great Quality Meat. Nicely marinated. Everything including the Kimetsu collaboration menu was delicious. The Yamakake Udon did not look like the one from the anime, but it tasted really good. Came with a side of Wasabi. Very affordable compared to US. 90 mins All-You-Can-Drink is a fantastic deal for about 1,500 yen per person. Had 5 rounds of drinks. Most cocktails were low in alcohol like soda water. If you want more alcohol, go with Asahi Beer or the stronger Whisky. Reservation online recommended.

鬼滅の刃コラボ Kimetsu no Yaiba@Gusto Shibuya ガスト 渋谷 ★★★

Fun Kimetsu Collaboration at Gusto Shibuya. I am not a meat perosn, but Tanjiro's Hamburger was nice, soft, cheesy, and tasty. Each order of Kimetsu collaboration item menu comes with a random clear file design. Other collaboration gifts are by lottery only, which seems to be a headache.

鬼滅の刃コラボ Kimetsu no Yaiba@Raku Cafe Ikebukuro ★★★

Dream Came True. I always miss the Demon Slayer collaboration events when I am in Japan. This time I made it. There are a couple of collaboration events, which I will be attending in this Tokyo trip. Here's the first one. Raku is an onsen facility, but this Ikebukuro branch is cafe only. It's a bit challenging for me because everything was in Japanese, but I tried my best to understand it. Must order within 15 minutes of seating and finish meal within 75 minutes. Whole experience was 1.5 hours. Minimum order 1,100 yen per person. Food orders comes with coaster and sticker. Food portions were big. You get a sticker stamp for every 5 products you buy. If you complete all the sticker stamps, you get a free gift. Reservations made in advance on TableCheck here.

Cheng Can Cook: Kimetsu No Yaiba Yamakake Udon ★★★

Tanjiro's Asakusa Hot 月見 Yamakake Udon from 鬼滅の刃 Kimetsu No Yaiba (Demon Slayer). 1st try. It tasted really good. I usually have Yamakake cold, but hot is very tasty too. I got the Nichirin Sword chopsticks from Lawson Japan. Recipe below.

Hot Yamakake Udon I made based on the anime

Actual Noodles from Kimetsu No Yaiba Episode 7

The Udon I like. Got from Tokyo Central. (Not all Udon brands are good. Some are too salty.)

Udon – 1 bunch for 1 person
Noodle Soup Base (available at Japanese grocery stores)
Egg Yolk
Green Onions
Sliced Seaweed

1. Follow directions on package to cook Udon.
2. Heat up Soup Base.
3. Peel Yamaimo skin and grate finely.
4. Place Udon and Soup Base in a Bowl.
5. Pour Grated Yamaimo (Yamakake) flatly in the middle of the bowl of noodles.
6. Garnish with egg yolk (center), green onions, sliced seaweed, and wasabi as pictured. Enjoy!

Notes to self:
• I need to make more soup base next time
• Green Onions need to be closer to the edge of the bowl
