Sushi Yamamoto@Beverly Hills ★★★

BEST. MEAL. EVER. Sushi Yamamoto Pre-Opening (by invitation only as of March & April, opens to public May 2). My friend took over Urasawa location on Rodeo Drive and surpasses Urasawa. Great service. Friendly and chill. Much better than Urasawa. Chef Yusuke-san is very attentive and literally takes notes of his customers. Everyone just had the time of their life while enjoying superb quality sushi. Their Toro and abundance of Uni are to die for. Yusuke-san and Sommelier Teppei-san were high school buddies, and they are from the gorgeous Shizuoka. Will get Michelin star for sure. 8 seats only. No official press releases or public announcements about this restaurant yet. $390 Omakase, $190 (now $235) Wine & Sake Pairing. Corkage fee $150. Green tea $9. Bottled water from Kaneyama, Japan $15. Reservations open to public May 2nd via Tock. Valet parking, $10 flat rate self-parking after 6pm, or you can park at Beverly Canon Gardens Parking (240 N. Beverly Dr, $5 flat rate after 6pm) and walk 1.5 blocks over.
