Makoto-san's Omakase Pop-up@The Steak Library Lomita

Omakase Comeback. Makoto-san finally owns the chef's counter again for the first time since his & our last one at Wadatsumi Beverly Hills on February 25, 2023. We loved the price point and fresh quality seafood at Wadatsumi. We were the first ones trying his Omakase as his returning customers from Wadatsumi. Happy to revisit the taste of Wadatsumi again. We missed the Paper Shabu Shabu. Makoto-san always treats us like VIP. He has nice attention to detail, and even greeted meet w/ Demon Slayer background piano music. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves. It was a lot of food for lunch, so we ended up taking some of them home. It'd be nice to have dinner option too. Pop-up Omakase $250 per person. By appointment in advance and for lunch only.

High-End Japanese Steakhouse by Tamaen. Specializes in steak. Great variety of amazing steak with different kinds of sauces to choose from. Bone Marrow was great. Their Cotton Candy A5 Wagyu is like a sweet version of Sukiyaki so it'd be great with a bowl of rice. Corkage $35. Reservations via OpenTable. Free parking in lot.

High-End Japanese Steakhouse by Tamaen. Specializes in steak. Great variety of amazing steak with different kinds of sauces to choose from. Kansas Steak was the best. Since we already had Kansas Steak last time, we had the 22oz Bone-In Ribeye this time. The Steak itself was already cooked w/ butter, so we had the nice Garlic Sauce ($3). Bone Marrow was great. Would like to try their Cotton Candy A5 Wagyu next time. Great pricing on wine bottles. General Manager Makoto-san always gives us great recommendations. Very busy on Valentine's Day. Complimentary chocolate on Valentine's Day. Corkage $35. Reservations via OpenTable. Free parking in lot.
