sawa x Akabu & Ohmine@Little Tokyo ★★★

Another Amazing Omakase Sake Pairing Event by Fifth Taste. Superb quality. Totally chill & fun. You can order extra if you really need to. Special collaboration event presented by Shota-san from Fifth Taste with Akabu x Ohmine Shuzou sake pairing. Natalia the bartender is always amazing. What a dream team. I invited everyone I met at Eigikutei grand opening to come to the event, so it's a reunion for us as well! Sawa increased its price by $15. Now omakase is $185. $150 for sake pairing at event. Great deal because we were tasting premium sake. Parking lot $6.

My Sake Tasting Notes:
Ohmine 2 Grain ($250) – more diluted, fruity, lychee nose, melon finish
Ohmine Winter's Arrival ($130) – nama (unpasturized) nigori, sparking, pear finish
Ohmine 3 Grain ($100) – more distilled, grape & pear nose, pear & candy finish
Akabu Best of Best Cut ($330) – Yuinoka rice, fresh & smooth

Very cool photos and great accompanying detailed descriptions. I believe it's spelled Ao Èbi for blue shrimp.
