Wow. Exceptional Sushi. New Rodeo Drive location opened 3 days ago (Flagship location in Sherman Oaks). Hidden in an unlikely parking lot. Super fresh fish from Sakasyu. A team. Only 4 seats at sushi bar. We were fortunate to have 1-on-1 sushi bar service from Saito-san (from Sherman Oaks location and originally from Yamagata. Friendly and chill environment with Rodeo Drive upscale vibe. Omar the Sommelier (from Spago Beverly Hills) was amazing. Knowing that we are patrons of Fifth Taste sake, he customized the Wine Pairing with Fifth Taste sake for us. No cellphone reception inside the underground restaurant. Omakase Sushi (prepaid on Tock) $190 pp. Forgot that we already tipped 23% on Tock and accidentally double tipped again at the dinner, but it’s a mistake we gladly made on our end. We had the amazing $150 Reserve Wine Pairing. Corkage fee $75 per 750mL. 2 bottles max. Validated parking at garage $15.
